Axiom Sheesham Juice is derived from the inner bark of the sheesham tree, which is a tall hardwood that gets its name from the reddish color of the wood, which is mainly used for making furniture. The juice is made by soaking the inner bark, and then the liquid is pressed out in the process of extracting it. It gives off a light woody aroma and has a hint of sweetness from the sugar base. The gatherers first cut the outer parts from the old trees, then finely chop the bark, soak it in water, and finally do a filtering for easy flow.
The mixture is finally bottled in a solid container, and the color is muted brown due to the tannins in the bark. The sugar rounds off the raw flavor while still being subtle. This method keeps the extraction process of the tree base pull light rather than heavy cooking to keep the same characteristics of the tree. The old and wide sheesham trees, with their very deep roots, are found in forests all over north India. The drink can be simply set up on kitchen countertops for quick grabs. It readily enters the time of meals as a plain herbal sip.
Storage Instruction
Keep the bottle in an upright position in a cool pantry, away from heat. Cool it in the refrigerator after opening.
