Kubal Kashmiri Chilli Powder is a bright red powder of fine texture that is produced by grinding whole Kashmiri chilies. The chillies are grown in Kashmir, and their drying process gives them a deep crimson color. The powder is very smooth after grinding and does not contain any stems or seeds. The powder has a natural, earthy aroma that gets released when it is heated in oil. It is used by home cooks in various Indian food items daily, like curries, rice, and snacks. The red color of the chillies is the reason behind the colorful appearance of gravies and masalas. The mild characteristic allows you to use it not only for spice but also for color.
Storage Instructions:
Kubal Kashmiri Chilli Powder should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from light and heat. Use jars made of glass or tin with good seals that are airtight. Keep them far away from stoves, sinks, or humid areas. Only scoop with dry spoons and make sure you tighten the lid after every use.
How to Use:
Add Kubal Kashmiri Chilli Powder ½ to 1 teaspoon into hot oil with onions or garlic for the base. Stir into cooking tomatoes or yogurt gravies. Mix besan for pakoras or besan ladoos before frying. Add to rice tempering, or lentil boils for color. If stored dry, use within 12 months from the pack date. Start with small amounts and gradually increase as needed.
